This months featured artist is a talented woman who is my best friend and wife. Becky Barrett-Jones. Becky is by far one of the most talented women I have had the pleasure of knowing. As a wife she is supporting, loving, fun and exciting. I cherish every minute of the day that I am with her. She is everything a man wants in a union of marriage. I could not imagine my life without her.
As an artist she is very talented. Becky is able to balance a remarkable career as a musical theatre actress and a successful teaching career as a voice and piano instructor. Becky is able to have both careers and still manages to give 100% of herself on and off the stage. As an actress, she has appeared in many great musicals in the Dayton, Ohio community as well as LaComedia Dinner Theatre; where her reputation as a performer has made her a beloved regular on their stage. She recently completed a six month tour of the highly popular theatrical series “Church Basement Ladies” where she performed in two different presentations of CBL. Becky was once again praised for her acting and her magnificent voice as she wowed audiences across the USA. Her piano and voice studio “The Music in Me” is the most successful private voice and piano training in the city. Maintaining a roster of 50 students; with several on the waiting list, Becky is the name you hear when anyone asks about vocal and piano training.
Her latest adventure includes being added to the staff at Wright State University as a private vocal instructor. She now has the opportunity to expand her gifted teaching skills to University students. Finally, as a Christian woman you’ll find no one more dedicated to her faith. A woman who truly loves her God.
